A recent video circulating on the internet depicts Nigerian singer Davido and Shallipopi spraying money at a club, prompting the attention of operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This occurrence comes in the wake of EFCC’s intensified crackdown on individuals abusing the naira, following the recent sentencing of socialite Bobrisky for similar offenses.
In the trending video, Shallipopi is seen alongside Davido, engaging in the act of spraying money. The EFCC’s scrutiny has intensified since Bobrisky’s arrest, with celebrity businessman Cubana Chief Priest also coming under the agency’s radar.
Although Chief Priest was arrested and tried, he pleaded not guilty to the charges and was subsequently granted bail in the sum of ₦10 million.
