Air Peace, Nigeria’s esteemed flag carrier, has vehemently refuted recent claims suggesting that it abandoned passengers at Gatwick Airport, London, on April 8, 2024.
Dismissing the allegations circulating in a social media video, the airline clarified that such assertions are entirely unfounded and represent a deliberate attempt to tarnish its reputation.
The airline mentioned that Gatwick Airport operates under a system of slot timings allocated to each airline, governing the check-in procedures.
Accordingly, check-in operations are conducted based on these allotted time slots, with airlines adhering strictly to their approved schedules.
In adherence to these regulations, Air Peace emphasized that its check-in operations concluded at 09:00 AM, as clearly stipulated in the terms and conditions section of its e-ticket and website. Subsequently, the airline vacated its counter at 09:55 AM in accordance with its allocated slot time, ensuring compliance with airport protocols.
Air Peace categorically asserts that any insinuation of passenger abandonment or premature closure of its counter is entirely baseless and without merit. The airline remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the highest standards of customer service and operational integrity, refuting any attempts to tarnish its reputation.
