The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has taken decisive action in response to recent tragedies by suspending all movie productions involving riverine areas and boat riding.
Additionally, the guild has issued a directive barring actors from participating in any movie projects produced by Adanma Luke.
Adanma Luke was the producer of the movie in which actor Junior Pope was tragically involved before his untimely passing.
Junior Pope and four other crew members were aboard a boat, departing from the movie location, when they were involved in a fatal accident on Wednesday, April 10th.
The AGN’s decision reflects a commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of its members, recognizing the inherent risks associated with certain filming conditions.
By suspending riverine scenes and boat riding in movie productions and restricting actors from working with specific producers, the guild aims to mitigate potential hazards and prevent future tragedies within the industry.
