Nollywood veteran actress Rita Edochie has issued a plea for people to refrain from questioning the deaths of Nollywood stars.
She emphasized that death is an unavoidable aspect of life, affecting everyone regardless of their profession.
Taking to her Instagram page, Rita expressed her frustration at inquiries such as “What is happening in Nollywood?” stating that death is a natural occurrence that cannot be escaped.
She asserted that celebrities, like everyone else, are mortal beings, subject to the same fate as individuals in various fields. She also highlighted that people often react strongly to the deaths of celebrities due to their widespread impact and influence in the industry.
Addressing common queries about the frequency of deaths in Nollywood, she pointed out that death does not discriminate and affects people from all walks of life.
She urged for an end to questions suggesting something amiss in the industry whenever a star passes away.
In light of the recent passing of Nollywood legend Amaechi Muonagor, Rita expressed her condolences, acknowledging his struggle with illness. She emphasized that despite his efforts to persevere, death ultimately comes for everyone when the time is right.
