The Kano State Hisbah Board is preparing for another round of mass weddings and has extended invitations to 50 journalists to participate in the program.
Commander General Sheikh Aminu Daurawa announced this during a press briefing, mentioning that journalists can also nominate their loved ones to take part if they wish.
He explained that following the success of the previous mass weddings, which saw 1,800 couples married, the board decided to include members of professional groups and trade unions.
Additionally, legal practitioners and health workers will be invited to participate in the upcoming batch of the program. The primary goal of the mass wedding initiative is to promote moral values and reduce immorality among young men and women in society.
