Suleiman Ozakwo, residing in Anguwar Baiyi, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, found himself plunged into grief after a tragic incident involving a drunk driver named Ya Zakari, who fatally struck his three daughters.
According to a family member, Saidu Alhassan, who spoke with Daily Trust, the heartbreaking event occurred on Friday, April 12, 2024, along Rafin Kunama, Abaji road in Toto.
The three teenage sisters, Nusaiba, Maryam, and Rumaisa, were on their way back from visiting their uncle’s wife near the Ohinoyi’s palace when the drunk driver, speeding recklessly, collided with them, resulting in their immediate demise.
Confirming the incident, a police officer, who chose to remain anonymous, disclosed that the suspect was arrested while intoxicated and will face charges in court on Monday, April 15th.
Suleiman Ozakwo, the grieving father, expressed his sorrow over the untimely death of his daughters. Despite his devastation, he acknowledged the will of God and urged people to pray for the souls of his daughters.
