A Nigerian man has expressed deep frustration on X after spending N400,000 on electricity only to receive fewer units, resulting in a deduction of N140,000 from his account.
This comes following the recent increase in tariff for Band A customers by the Federal government on Wednesday, April 3.
In a post shared on his handle, the man lamented the situation, stating, “Omo! I went to renew electricity tariff today and it was at that moment I knew we all renewed our shege BANZA pro max whether you voted for the current president or not.”
He went on to detail his experience, revealing that despite purchasing N400,000 worth of electricity, he received only 1,311.51 units, which was N140,000 less compared to his previous transaction for the same amount.
Accompanied by screenshots of his receipt and those from the previous month of March, the man highlighted the significant disparity in the number of units he received after making payment.
