The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted bail to crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, but has seized his international passport as he has not yet met the bail conditions.
The EFCC summoned the 31-year-old after a video surfaced showing him spraying and displaying bundles of fresh Naira notes at the premiere of “Ajakaju,” a film produced by Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao, held at the Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024.
Bobrisky was arrested and detained on Wednesday night, April 3rd, 2024, at the EFCC’s Lagos command for alleged abuse of the Naira, spraying of Naira notes, and currency mutilation.
Sources within the commission confirmed that Bobrisky has been granted bail, but he has not yet fulfilled the requirements for his release.
