On Saturday, Air Peace officially launched its Lagos-London flight services. This inaugural flight comes a month after the airline announced its plans to commence direct flight operations to London on March 30th, as revealed during a prelaunch forum held by the airline in February.
In November, Air Peace’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema, announced the successful acquisition of the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit, qualifying the airline to operate flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
The airline shared this exciting development on its Air Peace X handle, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the launch. In their statement, they wrote,
“London service has commenced, and we’re thrilled to add another achievement to our commitment to provide seamless connectivity between cities. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a role in making this launch a success.”
Notable figures present at the inaugural flight to London included the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anita, among others.
