The launch of the service follows a month after the airline announced its plans to initiate direct flight operations to London on March 30th, which was revealed during a prelaunch forum organized by the airline in February.
In November, Air Peace’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema, disclosed that the airline had obtained the necessary permits, including the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit, qualifying it to operate flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
The news of the commencement of London service was shared by Air Peace X on Saturday, expressing gratitude to all involved in achieving this milestone. The airline stated,
“We are thrilled to announce the commencement of our London service, marking another significant achievement in our mission to provide seamless connectivity between cities. We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this launch.”
Among the dignitaries present at the inaugural flight to London were the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anita, among others.
