Mr. Tayo Ayinde, Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, has withdrawn his threat of litigation against the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams.
This comes following a pre-action letter sent by Ayinde’s lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN), to Adams’ legal representatives at OKC Attorneys.
The issue stemmed from allegations made by Adams, implicating Ayinde and Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, in a purported assassination plot. Both Ayinde and Igboho had issued warnings of legal action unless Adams retracted his statements.
However, in a recent development, Ayinde’s lawyer conveyed his client’s decision to cease pursuing legal action. In response, Adams’ lawyer, Oluwole Kehinde, expressed appreciation for Ayinde’s decision and thanked his legal counsel for their cooperation.
The matter appears to have been resolved amicably, with Ayinde opting to let the issue rest, provided there are no further disputes regarding the matter.
