American singer Catherine Ipsan, widely known as Cat Jenice, has sadly passed away at the age of 31. The announcement of Janice’s demise came from her family through a statement on Instagram.
According to the family, Janice succumbed to sarcoma cancer, a rare malignancy that can develop in the soft tissues of her bones, including muscles, fat, blood vessels, nerves, deep skin tissues, and fibrous tissues.
The family’s statement, posted on Instagram, shared the news of Catherine’s peaceful passing at her childhood home, surrounded by her loved ones. The family expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support received over the past few months. Despite unexpected success in her music career, Cat Jenice found solace in the knowledge that her music would continue to provide for her son.
The family thanked everyone for their support and announced that Cat’s brother, @the_last_cubby, would memorialize her Instagram page and manage all affairs related to Cat’s music, merchandise, and public relations.
In honor of Cat’s request, more of her art will be shared in due time. A few days before entering hospice care, Cat Jenice gained widespread popularity with the release of her hit song, “Dance You Outta My Head,” on January 19. The song, dedicated to her 7-year-old son Loren, quickly rose to the number one spot on the Billboard chart in the third week of February, with over two million TikTok videos featuring the track.
Despite Cat Janice’s announcement of losing the battle with cancer in a TikTok video, her music received immense support in January. She pledged that all earnings from her final song would go to charity and urged fans to pre-save it.
