The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has discouraged any rumor of an intention or plan to convert $30 billion in domiciliary deposit accounts into Naira.
Rumors spread of an intention to convert domiciliary account with certain amount of money in it into Naira.
Members of the society has started to raise alarm concerning the rumor as they were led to believe that the action is from the federal government.
However, the CBN has debunked the news via their X page saying;
“No plans to convert $30bn domiciliary deposits to naira. This news is fake!”
