The Nigerian Police has allegedly detained Mr. John Okafor’s son, Onyeabuchi Daniel Okafor and his adopted daughter, Jasmine Chioma Okekeagwu for stealing N55 million from their father’s medical donation fund.

The Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCID) had on Thursday reported thus;
“On 6th September, 2023, a petition was received from Diamond Waves Law on behalf of Stella Maris Chinyere Okafor wherein one Onyeabuchi Daniel Okafor, Valentine Okafor, both of whom are sons of Mr. John Ikechukwu Okafor (Alias Ibu) and Jasmine Chioma Okekeagwu were alleged to have conspired to defr@ud Mr. Ibu while being on sick bed.”
Recall that Jennysoul had reported the ill situation of Mr. Ibu’s health and how he solicited for fund from the public and other actors in the Nollywood industry to foot his medical bills.
As the FCID investigated the case, it was revealed that Mr. Ibu’s wife, Stella Maris was initially in charge of the fund that was raised to cater for the actor’s health, however, Jasmine and Daniel stole Stella’s phone and hacked into the account that was solely dedicated for catering for the actor’s health and house needs.
Initial reports from the public’s gaze, has it that Jasmine and Daniel had planned to elope with the money while casting blames on Stella Maris.
