Popular Nigerian website, Nairaland is down.
The website which has served Nigerians for almost twenty years went down on Monday 18th December 2023.
Frequent users of the website complained of being unable to access the website, which raised a suspicion of whether the website has been hacked.
Also, some users complained of a host error message, which implies that the website was not responding to connections.
A user’s complaint:
@BashirAhmaad wrote on X, “Does anyone have information on what’s happening with Nairaland? Typically, it is part of my nightly routine to check the site before bed, but it appears the page is down tonight. Could it be a technical issue, hacking, or something else?”
Confirming the news was the site creator, Seun Osewa, who asserted that the host had taken down the website.
