The Nigerian GZ Can Manufacturer has sold off to the wealthy Oppenheimer family of South Africa.
Jonathan Oppenheimer, the second son of the second richest man in South Africa, Nicky Oppenheimer has completed the acquisition of the GZ Industries Ltd, a Can beverage manufacturing company in Nigeria.
This indicates a wager on the continent’s economic revival. According to reports by Affirma Capital, the GZ Industries and Oppenheimer Partners Limited have completed all legal standards of purchase.
Although the private equity company controlled a huge percentage 37.5% of GZ Industries, a significant Can supplier of companies like Coca-Cola Co., the deal’s financial specifics are still unknown.
The GZ Industries Ltd was directed by Ayodeji Adelakun and currently owned by the Oppenheimer family. This has given Jonathan Oppenheimer more authority to direct GZ Industries’ growth in sub-Saharan Africa.
