“I was diagnosed with life-threatening throat infection” – Teni reveals

Teniola Apata a.k.a Teni revealed that she was advised to undergo a major surgical treatment to avoid permanent voice loss.

The singer stated that she has experienced multiple temporary voice loss for some time now. The diagnosis took place in July and since then she has been managing treatments.

She revealed that she was diagnosed with the throat infection while she was working on her second album “Tears of the Sun” that is set to be released on the 17th November 2023.

Few months ago, the artiste was reported to have lost a good amount of weight which has caused fans and admirers to be concerned.

She revealed that after multiple incidents of temporary voice loss, medical doctors advised her to undergo a major surgical treatment to avoid permanent voice loss.

She released a short video clip that revealed her journey through the medical phases and assured the public that her new album “Tears of the Sun” is a heartfelt collection. She even mentioned one of the songs “Malaika” as her gratitude song to God.

Sympathetically, fans took to the comment section of the video posted on Instagram and began to pour prayers of recovery and sound health on her.
