The Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Katsina State has obtained from the National Universities Commission (NUC) the permission to launch its fourteen important programme.
This was revealed on 21 October by the university first chancellor, Prof. Umar Adam-Katsayal. The newly founded university is name after the former president of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari and it’s called “The Muhammadu Buhari of Transportation Daura”, founded in Daura, Katsina State.
According to Vanguard, the commission’s acting director of academic planning, Abubakar Girei, reportedly communicated the clearance to him in a letter dated October 18, 2023. It reads:
“The acting Executive Secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the full-time mode of the programmes to be run in the Main Campus of the University with effect from the 2023/2024 session,” He added that “the approval does not cover the part-time mode of delivery of the programmes.
