The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has withdrawn the country’s capital state, Abuja from the Treasury Single Account (TSA) to ensure the capital territory is able to internally utilise its revenue for project developments.
The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike had disclosed this on Friday 13th, October 2023 during a press conference in Abuja.
He mentioned that he (Wike) had made the proposal and presented it to the president who had approved it.
The minister also stated that the President Bola. A.T has also approved the Federal Capital Territory’s Civil Service Commission and the FCT Women Affairs Secretariat to be headed by a Mandate Secretary.
Nyesom Wike loudly stated that the FCT Service Commission will lessen the worries of FCT civil servants about career progression as no civil servant working for the FCTA could progress to become a Permanent Secretary.
