Sir Micheal Gambon, a Harry Potter star actor, has peacefully passed away at the age of 82.
In the Harry Potter movies, he is well recognized as Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts.
Sir Michael and Laurence Olivier started their movie careers together more than 60 years ago. They were both recognized as the founding members of the Royal National Theater.
A statement on behalf of his wife, lady Gambon and his son, Fergus Gambon reads:
“We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon.
“Beloved husband and father, Michael died peacefully in hospital with his wife Anne and son Fergus at his bedside, following a bout of pneumonia.”
