A former Customary Court of Appeal President, Mrs. Margaret Igbeta has been found dead in her home located at Wantor Kwange Street in Makurdi metropolis.
Mrs. Margaret Igbeta was 72 years old. She was found dead in a pool of blood in one of her rooms on Thursday night.
Reports state that she was assassinated as her blood was spilled all over her house.
The assassins are yet to be identified as at the time of this report. But the Benue State Command has ordered that her body be evacuated from her residence.
Sympathisers continued to grace her compound upon the news of her demise. Her residence is located opposite Benue State University College of Medicine, along Gboko road, Makurdi.
A police officer said “Yes, it’s true. Yesterday, Thursday her lifeless body was discovered in her house but the corpse was not looking too good again meaning that it couldn’t have happened yesterday; maybe a day before yesterday, being Wednesday.”
