The Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, has introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to his congregation.
The pastor made the announcement during Sunday service on November 1, 2026, at the church headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos State. The development was reported by Punch Newspapers and Premium Times.
Earlier on Saturday, Odukoya posted an image of two hands wearing wedding rings on his Instagram page, with the caption, “To New Beginnings.”
The photograph generated speculation among his followers, with some wondering whether the pastor had remarried and others already sending congratulatory messages.
However, the speculation ended on Sunday when he introduced his new wife to the congregation.
In 2013, Jimmy married Oluwakemi Banjoko in London. They had two children together before their separation.

In what appeared to be a moment the congregation had been anticipating, the senior pastor jokingly said, “You people just like gists. It’s time to go home.”
He then referred to his Saturday Instagram post with the words, “New beginning,” prompting cheers and applause from the congregation.
Before making the announcement, Odukoya asked the church pianist to play a romantic instrumental. He also made a few dance moves to express his excitement.
The pastor explained that he had spent some time alone since taking leadership of the church before finding a suitable partner. He referenced the biblical account of Adam, using it to explain his decision to remarry.
He said:
“So, you know, ever since I became your pastor, I was doing this walk of life alone, and you know, the Bible said it is not good; it said I will find somebody suitable. When Adam saw it, he said, ‘This is the flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone, my left and right rib.’ So, I was looking and searching, and I found.”
He also described the development as a “Kairos moment,” referring to what he considered the right time for a new chapter in his life.
“I’m sure some of you saw the post. Somebody, some people say, is it artwork? Is it, is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, no, no, it’s my wife,” he added.
He then formally introduced her:
“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you, for the first time, Pastor Mrs Odukoya. And your first lady, and my wife. Let me be a gentleman. Pastor Mo Odukoya. Please bring out my wife, please.”
The pastor stepped forward to escort his wife onto the stage as members of the congregation cheered.
He later praised her and asked the congregation, “Did I do well?” They responded enthusiastically, “Yes.”

In her welcome speech, Pastor Mo Odukoya expressed her happiness at becoming part of the Fountain of Life Church and standing alongside her husband.
She said:
“Good morning, family. It’s my pleasure and honour to be here and stand alongside my husband, the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church.”
Pastor Mo was identified during the service as the daughter of Reverend Titus Daniel and Reverend Mrs Bolaji Daniel.
Tunde Bakare offers prayers for the newlyweds
Following the introduction, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya invited Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church, to pray for the couple.
Odukoya described Bakare as a voice of wisdom with a long-standing relationship with his late mother’s family.
Bakare came forward alongside his wife, Olayide, to offer prayers and blessings for the newlyweds.
During his remarks, Bakare acknowledged the challenges and issues the church had experienced but expressed confidence that they would overcome them. He also prayed for the repose of Odukoya’s late parents.
Bakare disclosed that the couple had their wedding in the United States, although he said he did not know the exact date they tied the knot.
He prayed for God’s blessings, protection and guidance over their marriage and the church.
In part of his prayer, he said:
“In the name of Jesus. Father, we bless you in the name of the Lord for this day. We are not here to sweep anything under the carpet. All things must be done decently and in order. We give you glory and praise because you have begun a good work, and you will perfect it in the life of your son and his wife, in the mighty name of Jesus.”
He also prayed for the growth of Fountain of Life Church, asking God to take control of its affairs and make it stronger.
Bakare described the couple’s union as a “power union” and prayed that their home would be built on peace, stability and love.
“This home is built on the foundation of peace and stability, and love of God. Nothing will desecrate it. Nothing will dismantle it. It will wax stronger and stronger daily, and it will become an example to follow, and not a mistake to avoid,” he prayed.
The introduction of Pastor Mo Odukoya marks a new chapter in the personal life of the Fountain of Life Church senior pastor, with the announcement drawing attention from church members and followers across social media.
