In the just concluded Grammy Awards,Nigerian Singer BurnaBoy lost to Beninese Singer Angelique Kidjo.
The Grammy awards which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles,California, Sunday evening ET was beguiled with much anxiety
Angelique Kidjo beat Nigeria’s Burna Boy and three other nominees to clinch the prize for the Best World Music Category. the Beninese Singer,Songwriter,actress and activitist is known for her Diverse works which depict Africa and its roots as well as her Creative videos.
Angelique who won “the Best World Music”for her album “Celia” dedicated her award to fellow artist and nominee Burna Boy. While accepting her award,she dedicated it to Talents in Africa and told the Audience to watch out for new Talents springing from the region.”The new generation of artist coming from Africa are going to take you by storm, the time has come.
