The trump Adminstration certainly isn’t smiling as they have slammed New Visa rules concerning pregnant women who embark on birth Tourism to the United States.
The aim of this Visa Rule is certainly to restrict Pregnant women from coming into the United States to give birth. The Trump adminstration is hell bent on restricting Birth Tourism to the United States, where Pregnant women come to the US to have their babies so they could be US citizens.
Recall in the past that the President of the United States of America,Mr Donald Trump had vowed to bring a form of restriction on birth Tourism to the US . it seems Mr Trump is keeping to his promised to bring Birth tourism to its barest minimum.
Mr Trump through this regulation, is obviously keeping to his political promises made to Americans in keeping Immigrants at bay.The American President is fighting tough and keeping to his major agenda in keeping the American borders safe.
The new regulation seeks to reduce the number of Foreigners, who take advantage of the Constitutional Provision granting Birthright Citizenship to anyone born in the US soil.
what it means is that under this new rule,Pregnant applicants for US Visa will be denied a tourist Visa to the US to give birth unless they must prove they are compelled to come to the US to give birth for specific reasons ie Medicals and they have sufficient funds to pay for it,or have other Urgent reasons but not just to come to the United States to give birth because they want theit Child to have the American Passport.
This new Rule will not apply to foreign travelers from Countries who are enrolled in the US Visa waiver programmes like most Duropean and Asian Countries. However it affects Countries in the so called “B” Class Visa categories.Like Nigeria for instance.
This new regulation is billed to take effect today the 24th of January, 2020. This comes after Nigeria made the list of Countries on the US travel Ban list.
