The Lagos State High Court has issued an interim order restraining Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin from publishing photographs or editorials concerning actress Priscilla Ojo Mkambala, her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Mussa Mkambala, and their son, Rakeem Mkambala, on social media.

The order was granted on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, by Justice Yetunde Adesanya of the High Court of Lagos State, sitting at the Lagos Judicial Division.

The legal action was brought by Priscilla, her husband and their son in Suit No. LD/ADR/6646/2026. The application seeks to restrict Anjorin’s social media publications concerning the family while the substantive matter proceeds before the court.

According to the court order reported by several Nigerian media organisations, Anjorin was restrained from publishing, posting, circulating, uploading or broadcasting photographs of the couple’s son on her social media platforms.

The affected platforms include Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and TikTok.

The restriction also extends to Anjorin’s agents, representatives, employees, privies and anyone acting under her authority.

Several social media accounts allegedly associated with the actress were specifically identified in the order, including accounts on Instagram and a Facebook page bearing the name Lizzyanjorin2.

The court’s directive means that, pending further proceedings, Anjorin is not permitted to use the listed platforms to circulate the child’s photographs in the manner covered by the order.

Lizzy Anjorin also barred from publishing editorials

The court’s restriction goes beyond photographs of Rakeem.

Justice Adesanya also ordered Anjorin to cease broadcasting, publishing or posting editorials concerning the applicants on her social media platforms.

The order is expected to limit online commentary about the family while the court considers the substantive Motion on Notice filed in the case.

The development is significant because the dispute involving Anjorin and members of Priscilla’s family has largely played out publicly on social media.

The latest court action now places a formal legal restriction on certain publications concerning Priscilla, Juma and their son.

Order was granted ex parte

The court order was granted ex parte, meaning the application was considered at this stage without Anjorin being present or heard.

Importantly, the order is interim and does not amount to a final determination of the wider dispute between the parties.

It will remain in place pending the hearing and determination of the applicants’ Motion on Notice.

The court also directed that the case file be returned to the Registry of the High Court of Lagos State for reassignment to the appropriate division.

Long-running dispute moves to court

The latest development comes amid a prolonged public disagreement involving Anjorin and veteran actress Iyabo Ojo, who is Priscilla’s mother.

The dispute has repeatedly generated controversy online and has previously resulted in legal action.

Reports indicate that Iyabo Ojo had earlier instituted a ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin as their public disagreement escalated.

More recently, the dispute expanded to include Priscilla and her young son after Anjorin made public comments about the family.

Some of the claims made online about the child have not been independently verified and should not be treated as established facts.

The current court order itself does not make findings confirming or rejecting those claims. Instead, it specifically deals with the publication and circulation of photographs and editorials concerning the applicants.

Priscilla Ojo shares court order

Priscilla reportedly shared pages of the court order on her Instagram Story following the ruling.

The document provided details of the restrictions and the social media accounts covered by the order.

The development has generated significant reaction among fans and followers, many of whom have followed the dispute between the personalities for some time.

The case also highlights the growing role of the courts in disputes involving social media publications, particularly where the privacy and interests of children are concerned.

What happens next?

The latest ruling does not end the legal battle.

Instead, it establishes temporary restrictions while the substantive application is considered.

The parties are therefore expected to continue with the legal process, during which the court will consider the issues raised in the case.

As of the latest reports, Anjorin had not publicly issued a detailed response to the interim order.

For now, the most significant development is the court’s directive preventing Lizzy Anjorin and anyone acting under her authority from publishing or circulating the specified photographs and editorials concerning Priscilla Ojo, Juma Jux and their son on the platforms covered by the order.

The case is likely to attract further attention as the parties return to court and the wider dispute continues through the legal process.
