The Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) confirmed the news in a statement released. According to the statement signed by Uche Agu, DGN of the guild, she passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, after a long illness.
“It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Madam Cecilia Oby Kechere. On behalf of the National Executive Council and the entire DGN family, I extend my deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.”the statement in part reads
