A young Nigerian man found himself in serious trouble after attempting to purchase a new Mercedes Benz using a counterfeit bank transfer in the Ajah area of Lagos.
A video circulating on social media shows the man in handcuffs, being paraded and posed next to the car he tried to fraudulently acquire.
According to reports, the man and his accomplice attempted to buy the luxury vehicle and used a fake bank transfer during the documentation process.
While the accomplice managed to escape, the main suspect was apprehended and subsequently handcuffed.
The caption of the video, which has gathered significant attention online, states:
“This dude and his friend wanted to buy Benz with fake alert from a friend of mine. Unfortunately, he was apprehended, and his friend ran away. He is currently at Ajuwe Aja police station.”
The apprehended individual is now in police custody at the Ajuwe Ajah police station, where he will likely face charges related to fraud and attempted theft.
