NASA records All-woman space Walk at the International Space Station with astronauts christiana koch and jessica Meir.
Both NASA Astronauts are making the first ever female space walk in history. They were expected to replace a failed power control unit.
Basically, a Space Walk is a period of physical activity by an Astronaut in space outside a space ship for a period of time .
The first ever person to spacewalk was Soviet Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov. Other Russian Cosmonaunts have also space walked.
The difference between an Astronaut and a Cosmonaut lies in the fact that an Astronaut is trained and certified by NASA,ESA,JAXA and CSA to work in space while Cosmonauts are people trained and certified by the Russian space agency to work in space.
NASA announced this March that Astronauts Ms Koch and Ms Meir would engage in vehicular activity in space. Both ladies stepped out in their NASA space suits to fulfill their tasks.
