Media personality and actress Stephanie Coker Aderinokun recently opened up about her challenging journey with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and in-vitro fertilization (IVF) during an interview with Chude Jideonwo.
Stephanie candidly discussed the emotional toll of failed IVF attempts, the substantial financial burden, and traveling to Los Angeles for treatment.
She recounted the profound pain of losing her baby and the deep sense of rejection she felt from her unborn child.
Her severe battle with PCOS, which led to dangerous health complications, left IVF as her only viable option to start a family.
Despite the immense challenges, including her husband’s failed election campaign, Stephanie’s story highlights the resilience and strength required to navigate such trying circumstances.
She revealed, “I didn’t have my period for a whole year. PCOS made me choose IVF because mine was very severe. My doctor told me mine was life-threatening; I ended up in a wheelchair and was vomiting blood.”
Stephanie shared her darkest moments, admitting, “I got pregnant on the first IVF, the second one failed, and I was actually standing in front of a car just to let the car hit me.”
