In a show of support and goodwill, Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has distributed a cash gift of $100 to each of the 2,682 intending Muslim pilgrims from the state.
The governor announced this generous gesture while delivering a farewell message at the Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar Hajj Camp in Bauchi. He emphasized the importance of being exemplary representatives of Bauchi State and Nigeria during their pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
Additionally, he urged the pilgrims to pray for peace and prosperity both for the country and Bauchi State.
Governor Mohammed highlighted the government’s comprehensive arrangements to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience. The state’s contingent to Saudi Arabia will be led by the Amirul-Hajj, Emir of Dass, Usman Bilyaminu.
The governor assured that all necessary provisions have been made to facilitate the pilgrims’ religious obligations without any hindrance. He reminded the pilgrims to express gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to partake in the pilgrimage.
Usman Bilyaminu, Bauchi State’s 2024 Amirul-Hajj, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and his committee. He assured the governor and the people of Bauchi State that they would have a successful Hajj exercise.
According to reports, the state’s inaugural flight is scheduled for this weekend, carrying over 500 pilgrims from Misau, Ningi, Jama’are, and Ganjuwa, along with the officials leading the group.
