Four individuals have been apprehended following a police raid on a facility in the Agege area of Lagos state, where counterfeit alcoholic beverages were being manufactured.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, revealed this on X, explaining that the arrest was made by officers from the Isokoko police division who acted on intelligence regarding the unlawful activities of the suspects.
He noted that fake drinks, along with empty bottles and labels from various brands, were seized from the site of the arrest. On his X handle, SP Benjamin Hundeyin wrote:
“Officers from the Isokoko Division, acting on credible information, conducted a raid on a house in Agege where counterfeit alcoholic beverages were being produced. The police apprehended four individuals i nvolved in the illicit distillery operation and recovered counterfeit drinks, empty bottles, and labels from various brands. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.”
